I could see staying with a console after 1 or 2 failures especially if you've invested a lot in games and such. But after 4 failures any sane person should know they bought a defective product and to stop supporting it.
I saw Alan Wake ads on Youtube and other gaming sites so don't pretend it had zero marketing because it is not true.
IMO it failed because it is not a shooter and there is no multiplayer.
Don't forget Bryan Adams.

I would like to see the people who disagreed to that statement explain why playing your console as long as you like is a bad thing.
I agree with MariaHelFutura. If I didn't care about better graphics I would still be playing the NES.
Better graphics is the number 1 reason why most people buy a new console.
I just finished playing Bad Company 2 for a few hours on PSN. The game runs great, no problems whatsoever.
360 fanboys once again have no idea what they are talking about.

That's because for as long as I have been here 360 fans judge PS3 games solely on their sales. Every PS3 exclusive that doesn't sell like Halo is a flop in their eyes and it is annoying. Some people are happy to see the 360 fans get a taste of their own medicine.
I'm not going to call AW a flop though. The reviews were decent and people seem to be enjoying it and that is what matters.
All these games are going to end up like Metro 2033, Alan Wake, Halo Reach,& Splinter Cell Conviction. All games that a certain fanbase said would beat Uncharted, Killzone 2, & GOW 3's graphics and failed.
Of course I'm only talking about consoles here.
